Adventure Camp for Children with Heart Disease

Girl rock climbingCamp Meridian is an exciting FREE three day overnight camp for 8 - 12 year old boys and girls with heart disease. A "meridian" or longtidule line on a map, is a place from which any journey can begin.

Our goal is to provide a safe and medically supervised experience that is fun and appealing to children, with the following mission statement in mind:

"To provide a challenging adventure of self discovery for children with heart disease through a series of unique, funfilled, guided activities, allowing the children to realize their own uptapped potential."

Camp Meridian is directed by a group of medical personnel, parents, and talented counselors. Fun and engaging activities will be used to allow the children to:

  • reach beyond their medical diagnosis
  • realize heightened self-esteem
  • experience goal setting, achievement, and team accomplishment
  • develop new friendships and lasting memories
